Dawood Engineering, Inc. a rapidly growing consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to work out of our Sayre, PA Regional office.
The preferred candidate will be trained in the operation of both conventional and GPS/GNSS surveying equipment. Activities will include a variety of surveying projects including field topography and construction stakeout.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
o Will be in responsible charge for various survey activities associated with Survey Instrument Operators and Survey Crewmembers and maintain all assigned equipment in operable manner.
o Will closely adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety as well as generally accepted safety practices and will recognize unsafe actions and/or conditions and responds to such as appropriate.
o Will provide guidance and support to survey instrument operators in the completion of their daily assignments.
o Will follow established procedures for transmission of data.
o Will operate instruments and measuring devices needed to complete survey work assignments.
REQUIREMENTS:
o Must have obtained high school diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree in Surveying, preferred.
o Must have 3- 5 years of related progressive experience and/or training as a Survey Instrument Operator; experience in oil and gas industry, preferred.
o Must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools, Civil3D, and Microstation. Deltek Vision and Carlson Survey experience, preferred.
o Physical requirements; Must be able to up to 50 pounds and work in various inclement weather.
o Must hold current vehicle driver's license in the employee's state of residence.
o Candidate must exhibit a positive attitude, have excellent communication skills, and work well alone and with others in a team environment.
This is a Full-time position with benefit package and competitive wages. EOE.
