The RN must be currently licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and must successfully complete a medication and IV exam, as outline by the hospital, during the orientation period. In addition, the RN must meet individual nursing unit specifications regarding educational requirement during employment. The RN must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) competency. Specialty certification, RN-BC Obstetrics should be achieved as soon as the RN is eligible. Additional specialty certification/training required includes Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), STABLE, Electronic Fetal Monitoring and TeamSTEPPS training within the first six months after hire.

Main Function
The LDRP RN Fellowship Program at The Guthrie Clinic is a guided intensive program consisting of both didactic and clinical experiences. The OB Fellowship is a program designed to prepare experienced, but new to OB Registered Nurses for a career in OB nursing. The fellowship is based upon the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Perinatal Orientation and Education Program (POEP). The program provides evidence-based care and practices to the standards set by their professional organization.
OB Nurse Fellows will provide care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages of this important life event. OB nurse fellows will collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to provide the best plan of care for each patient. They will implement the plan of care by monitoring the mother and baby and by teaching patients about their care and topics related to womens health and newborn care.

Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program. Nurses hired who have not earned a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, will be required to do so within five (5) years from their date of hire.

One year RN experience within the last five years preferred. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) desired. Experience working in a team environment is essential. Computer skills required and prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call. Will need to demonstrate ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Must demonstrate leadership skills, skills contributing towards a positive teamwork environment, effective communication skills, and excellent critical thinking skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
